Mr. Vu The Hai, Head of VSEC’s Security Operations Center, led participants in the incident response drill

The primary focus of the drill centered on training and education about cybersecurity. It simulated a scenario where an attacker exploits vulnerabilities, collects data, and then introduces a type of ransomware into the network systems of various units.

Mr. Dao Hoang Duong, EVN’s Deputy Head of Telecommunications and IT, highly appreciated EVNNPT and the participating teams for their thorough preparation and solid understanding of cybersecurity. Through this drill, EVN in general and EVNNPT in particular can assess their information security protection capabilities, as well as their readiness to prevent, handle, and respond to cyberattacks.

EVN’s Telecommunication and IT Department hopes that after this drill, the cybersecurity teams of the various units will disseminate and provide additional training for operators and end-users. This is to ensure better execution of these tasks in each unit.
