On: The SOC Information Security Operation and Monitoring Center service offered by Vietnam Cybersecurity Joint Stock Company is the country’s first to be awarded CREST accreditation, making the company a pioneer in the field of information security administration in Vietnam.

As of the 19th of August, 2022, CREST, a nonprofit organization specializing in the appraisal, evaluation, and recognition of specialized standards in the field of providing information security services, confirmed that the networks operated by Security Joint Stock Company in Vietnam are suitable for CREST’s Externally Validated certification for the ATTT SOC (Information Security of Security Operation Center) service and monitoring center. This certification was awarded to VSEC’s ATTT Pentest (Information Security Penetration Testing) service at the start of January 2022.
VSEC is the first company in Vietnam to receive CREST certification for both its Information Security Monitoring and Operation Center service and its Information Security Pentest assessment service, making it the country’s top provider of information security administration services. Not only is this a significant milestone for VSEC, but it also helps validate Vietnam’s growing cybersecurity sector internationally.
The professionals at the SOC Center – VSEC have to pass a stringent evaluation process on a regular basis carried out by international security experts in order to earn this certification. In just over six months of work across two evaluation rounds (Application Registration and Audit), VSEC has fully complied with all 28 strict CREST standards across six complex domains: Organizational Environment, Consumer Requirements, Technology & Tools, Event Analysis, Threat Intelligence & Situational Awareness threats, and Protect the SOC.
With CREST certification, VSEC has proven that its SOC Operation and Monitoring Center services and Pentest Information Security Assessment services conform to the highest international standards for expertise, experience, technology, policies, processes, procedures, and professional ethics.
Mr. Truong Duc Luong, President of VSEC, spoke on behalf of the organization and shared “What we Vietnamese are often considered to be weaker than other countries is the process and compliance. Having CREST accreditation is an indication that VSEC wants to use the certification as a tool to raise standards for its employees in the areas of Pentesting and Security Operations Centers (SOCs)”. The Vietnamese people can take pride in their ability to give excellent service that is on par with, if not above, international standards.
