Last weekend, the 6th Security Boothcamp conference organized by the Vietnam Internet Association (VIA) in collaboration with the Security Boothcamp Domestic Community and the Binh Dinh Computer Association successfully took place for 3 days from September 7th to September 9th in Quy Nhon, Binh Dinh.

The Security Bootcamp is a nonprofit information security event which was held for the first time in 2012 with the purpose of creating a technical-quality forum for professionals to connect and share the latest knowledge and experience in the field of information security. This nonprofit event was organized as Bootcamp style, where professionals can freely share their own speciality while IT students have the opportunity to participate in security training sessions.

In 2017, VSEC’s security expert Nguyen Van Luc attended the conference with the theme of “Security threats from ISPs Modem Internet in Vietnam”. And this year, the head of the ATC Training and Research Team of VSEC – the VSEC’s representative – Mr. Tran Trung Kien (aka Kienmanowar) attended and shared some issues at this event. In addition, attendees included Mr. Le Trung Nghia from the Education Development Advisory Board – Association of Vietnam universities and colleges, Mr. Nguyen Minh Duc – CEO of CyRadar Security Information J.S.C, …

The Security Boothcamp 2018 focused on three main activities: seminars, network information security training, and trainings for IT students with the knowledge and skills of penetration testing. The spotlight in the opening day of Security Bootcamp 2018 (September 7th) was a security response exercise, with the participation of five teams of more than 40 technical staffs from several banks, big enterprises in Binh Dinh.
